Elf Head

November 1, 2020

For the past three weeks I’ve attempted to produce a piece of work by the end of each Sunday to see how that would go. On week one, I experimented with working in Maya alongside Unity to create a concept level. Week two had me creating a basic chest in Maya and then texturing it in Substance Painter which resulted in many difficulties, and now, at week three, I have created this head sculpt of an elf woman. The reference was of course Princess Zelda from Breath of the Wild, but since it doesn’t look too much like her in my opinion, I have opted to just referring to it as a generic elf woman instead. Even though it’s not great by any means, to say this is my third ever attempt at creating a head in ZBrush, I think it’s alright.

Now, with it being a new month, I’d like to try (again) to step it up a notch by working and posting here each day like I’ve tried many times before. I’ve made a few notes so I think I am a bit more prepared this time, but who knows. My goal above all else in this challenge will be consistency as that is what I am currently lacking.

The next post will be the first. That’ll be up in a few minutes.
